The break-away safety buckle features three variable load settings that break open under enough strain from your cat, allowing your cat to safely escape out of the collar if necessary.
- If your cat weighs around 3kg / 6,6lbs, make sure the red slider is set to the right.
- If your cat weighs around 5kg / 11lbs, make sure the red slider is set to the middle.
- If your cat weighs around 9kg / 19,8lbs, then make sure the red slider is set to the left.
It’s important to note these variable settings act as a guide only. Every scenario and cat behaviour is different. You know your cat and their behaviour best, so it is important that you use the buckle in a way that best suits your feline friend.

We’ve increased the safety of our cat collars by making a few product improvements. The red slider that is used to set the break-away weight has received an upgrade to ensure it does not come loose and fall off.
