Rogger Melanie Doyle and her two-year old Yorkie, Charlotte, were asked to be Rogz Models on our latest AirTech Sport Harness shoot.
Here is her take on the experience.
This is Mel’s Story
“My bestie and I became Rogz Stars for a day.
When I started working for Rogz in March 2022, my mom thought that Charlotte (my 2 year old Yorkie) was going to be the latest Rogz Ambassador and model all the latest pet gear.
I had to explain to my mom that things worked differently and Rogz usually gets well-trained dogs for photo shoots, which Charlotte is not. Fast forward eight months and Charlotte got her moment!
My bestie and I were both asked to feature in the AirTech Sport Harness lifestyle shoot. What an exciting opportunity, and even better because I got to experience it with her.
I was asked to wear something pink to match Charlotte who was going to be wearing the Sunset Pink AirTech Sport Harness. I remember my colleague Shav, who was heading up the photoshoot, telling me to not make a fuss about clothing and just use what I have. Naturally, my mom and I went out shopping to find the perfect pink dress.
The morning of the shoot was supposed to start at 5am, but the rain decided to pour down (despite it being summer). Thank goodness that worked out perfectly because I woke up late that morning. So, I had enough time to get myself and Charlotte ready for our big day.
We met at the beautiful Melkbos Beach just after 7am. There was still a light drizzle which gave us all some time to drink coffee and get comfortable with each other. Charlotte got all her barks and growls out (it’s a small dog thing), and when the rain stopped, it was time to snap some pics.
What a wonderful experience it was to walk up and down the beach and have thousands of photos being snapped of me and my bestie. Charlotte occasionally gave the camera a bark and other times she tilted her little head in curiosity, but most of all she enjoyed playing and exploring the beach. Charlotte was often distracted, but Molly, the other fur model for the day, did a great job keeping Charlotte focused.
It was such an amazing day and best of all we could just be ourselves enjoying the beautiful scenery.
We feel so privileged to have been part of such a beautiful shoot with the most amazing pet gear. I absolutely love the AirTech Sport Harness. It’s so easy and quick to put on and the fit is just perfect and extremely comfortable for Charlotte. The photos will be cherished forever.”
