Rogz Academy Yeboneer volunteers, from the Dunoon cluster, celebrated learners by having a special ceremony for them during their last week at school. Learners were handed a package with chips, a fizzer, juice, a Rogz ball and a special note from their volunteers. Each of them also received a certificate to acknowledge their participation in the programme. Learners and volunteers shared stories, and there was a lovely feeling of ubuntu – the volunteers appreciating how their teaching experience had helped them grow, and the learners appreciating how the Yebo volunteers had helped them improve their numeracy and literacy.
This celebration follows on from the Year Beyond Year-End Celebration last week, which you can read about here.
