Project Background
Rogz Swiss Distributor, Jürg Fuhrer of BusinessCom, teamed up with Rogz Academy for a Special Art Project. This project was run by Sebastian Janssens, an ex-Rogger who manages exporting SA Wines to Switzerland through MyVino Swiss Wine export company. With every sale of wine, a special “Jazz” card is attached which has interesting and fun facts about the wine on one side and then original artwork by Rogz Academy learners on the other side. Budding artists
The Art Project was facilitated by art teacher Marelize van Niekerk of Elkanah Senior Primary who held art sessions after school for eager learners from Sophakama Primary, Dunoon Primary and Silverleaf Primary. These budding artists managed to learn how to outline and paint wine estate pictures in only two sessions! All art material was supplied by Rogz Academy.
Donation and prizes
MyVino thanked Rogz Academy with a large donation to be used for Education projects, and a special prize-giving was held at Sophakama Primary where prizes were handed to the learners who participated in this art project, donated by Rogz. A great example of teamwork between countries to benefit all, in the true spirit of Ubuntu!
